Dipper Workshop
Join me on this workshop for the opportunity to photograph Britain’s only aquatic song bird, the Dipper.
I run these workshops across two locations here in the UK, East Devon and the Derbyshire Dales. Both locations offer you the opportunity to capture a wide range of images.
Dippers are my favourite bird and one I have had the pleasure of working with for many years now. During this time I have developed a great understanding of their behaviour and the fieldcraft required to get us close, without causing any disturbance.
My workshops are typically run on a 1-1 basis as this ensures that I can offer you the maximum guidance and support, however I am happy to run a 2-1 workshop should you wish to book with a friend.
We will meet just before sunrise and the session will last for approximately 4 hours.
Equipment Required
Your favourite camera
A focal length of 400mm or above would be ideal for this location.
Tripod could come in useful, especially if you want to film some video.
Warm, waterproof clothing, including wellies.
Spare cards and batteries.
More Information
Price: £170 per person or a double booking for £300.
Parking: There is plenty of parking at each site.
Fitness: The dippers will fly up and down the river and therefore we may be required to do a small amount of walking, albeit nothing too difficult. A basic level of fitness is required at both locations.
Dates: These workshops are run across March, April and May, therefore if you have a date in mind please specify within the booking form.
