Beaver Workshop

During the summer months you can now see the beavers on certain sections of the river, down here in East Devon, at both dawn and dusk. My preference is always to photograph them in the late afternoon through to sunset though, as they tend to be more active at this time.

The workshops are run throughout the summer and preferably on a 1-1 or 2-1 basis, as this ensures that I can provide you with maximum guidance and support and it also ensures that the beavers remain undisturbed.

Each session will last approximately 4 hours. We will meet 4 hour before last light and if you would like a morning session, we would meet 30 minutes before sunrise.

All levels of experience are welcome on this workshop.

Equipment Required

  • Your favourite camera.

  • A focal length of 400mm or above would be ideal for this location.

  • Tripod is not required as you’ll be at ground level, however a beanbag can be useful.

  • Warm, waterproof clothing, including wellies.

  • Spare cards and batteries.

At a small additional cost I can lend you a Canon 7dmkii and a Canon 100-400mkii lens if you require.
